This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Produce pragmatic and thought-provoking research that Gartner clients utilize to advance their business towards key objectives.
• Serve as a reliable source of guidance for clients, addressing complex challenges and providing suitable recommendations.
• Interact with clients daily via phone, videoconferences, and, when requested, present at Gartner events.
• Generate insightful and actionable research tailored for Chief Compliance Officers, distinct from information available from external sources.
• Stay ahead of emerging developments and issues in specified areas by comprehending the broader ecosystem related to compliance programs, collaborating with internal experts, and learning from clients’ best practices.
• Uphold Gartner’s reputation as an industry leader by thoughtfully addressing press inquiries when necessary.
• At least 10+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, with recent experience as a deputy or divisional chief compliance officer/senior compliance leader.
• Bachelor’s degree (ideally in economics, business, or international studies) or equivalent experience, with a preference for a postgraduate law or economics degree.
• Advising the leadership team or board of directors (or designated committee) on compliance priorities and offering actionable recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Integrating both quantitative and qualitative evidence into executive-ready narratives and recommendations that cater to management decision needs.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Legal, ERM, Finance, or Internal Audit.
• Conducting compliance risk assessments and preparing reports.
• Monitoring and analyzing new regulatory changes to ensure timely adaptations of internal policies and procedures.
• Supporting corporate governance initiatives to maintain alignment with compliance standards and expectations.
• Designing, implementing, and enhancing enterprise compliance frameworks, which include developing policies and procedures, training, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms to ensure organizational integrity and consistency.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adjust style for diverse audiences.
• Executive presence; able to quickly establish credibility with executives and other stakeholders.
• Capability to navigate and excel in a highly matrixed work environment.
• Willingness to offer flexible working hours, within reason, to support Gartner’s global client base.
• Ability to travel occasionally for team offsites and Gartner conferences (less than 10% of the year).
