This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Accountable for the effective negotiation and ongoing management of clinical trial agreements, intricate amendments, and other related agreements with investigative sites.
• Prepares, reviews, negotiates, and finalizes clinical trial agreements, complex amendments, and ancillary agreements with study sites by applying critical thinking, utilizing available tools/systems/documents, historical data, and complying with departmental and/or client quality assurance standards.
• Maintains regular communication with study sites and internal stakeholders in accordance with the site contracts department and client requirements.
• Regularly monitors the status of site contracts agreements and associated documents in the mandated ICON and client systems.
• Proactively identifies and communicates risks, while also proposing mitigation strategies to meet established study milestones and planned site contract timelines.
• Organizes contractual documents as per department, ICON, and client specifications.
• Participates in and contributes to study team project calls, as appropriate.
• Collaborates cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to facilitate timely site start-up and ongoing maintenance for conducting clinical trials, including accurate forecasting of contract execution timelines.
• Reviews site contracts for thoroughness and precision, ensuring compliance with department and client standards, correcting documents as necessary, and filing amendments to contracts.
• Engages in departmental initiatives and contributes to their success.
• May act as a mentor for other members of the site contracts department team.
• Completes all mandatory project, client, department, and ICON training punctually, adhering to the relevant SOPs, processes, and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related discipline; advanced degree or certification in Contract Management or a pertinent field preferred.
• Solid background in contract administration, contract management, or a similar field, ideally within the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry.
• Experience with contracts in the U.S. is essential.
• Strong comprehension of contract law, legal terminology, and regulatory requirements related to clinical trials and vendor agreements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess complex contractual issues and suggest effective solutions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
