This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as the senior subject matter expert and course manager for designated curricula, overseeing the entire lifecycle from needs assessment to delivery and maintenance.

• Create, develop, and sustain training products across various formats (ILT, VILT, eLearning, webinars, job aids, videos, mobile content, and performance support tools) utilizing ADDIE and adult learning methodologies.

• Provide both basic and advanced instruction in your field within classroom and virtual settings.

• Collaborate with Instructional Systems Designers and Curriculum Managers to transform intricate policy and operational concepts into pedagogically sound courses and supporting documentation.

• Perform Training Needs Analyses; propose and design new courses, products, and awareness initiatives as mission requirements change.

• Investigate and implement current security policies and authoritative references to ensure content remains accurate, up-to-date, and compliant.

• Create and enhance training materials—storyboards, instructor and participant guides, scripts, knowledge assessments, case studies, exercises, and job aids—customized for diverse audiences, including students, executives, and managers.

• Lead or assist in the transition from classroom to virtual and blended learning formats, incorporating distance learning and micro-learning where suitable.

• Provide subject matter expert input during Alpha and Beta testing of new and updated products; suggest enhancements based on learner feedback and performance data.

• Address student and stakeholder inquiries with prompt, authoritative guidance on course content and practical application.


⛳️ Requirements

• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

• Bachelor’s degree along with five (5) years of practical experience in implementing and managing security programs in your area of expertise—OR eight (8) years of relevant security program experience in lieu of a degree.

• Proven mastery of the policies, practices, and operational knowledge within your security domain.

• Established subject matter expert credibility in one or more security disciplines (Personnel Security, Industrial Security, Counterintelligence, Insider Threat, Information Security, Physical Security, etc.).

• Active SPēD certifications: SFPC, CDP, SAPPC, ISP, or equivalent.

• Experience in delivering instruction in both in-person and virtual/synchronous formats.

• Experience in supporting LMS migration or training modernization projects.
