This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
β’ Execute activities that facilitate the integration of the Compliance Program across the organization.
β’ Assist the department in promoting awareness regarding the organization's Compliance Program.
β’ Create educational and training resources related to compliance.
β’ Conduct periodic assessments of training test result data.
β’ Ensure that all required training is completed promptly and satisfactorily by staff.
β’ Formulate and implement effective policies and procedures.
β’ Prepare agenda items and deliver presentations on regulatory and healthcare compliance updates to compliance liaisons on a quarterly basis.
β’ Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
β’ A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, legal affairs, internal audit, coding, and billing.
β’ Preferred experience in a compliance department supporting a multi-physician group practice within an academic medical center environment.
β’ Certification in Healthcare Compliance is strongly preferred.
β’ Healthcare Compliance (CHC) certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.
β’ Must possess CPC or CCS-P coding certification.
β’ Experience in reviewing and interpreting federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.
