• Execute activities that facilitate the integration of the Compliance Program across the organization.
• Assist the department in promoting awareness regarding the organization's Compliance Program.
• Create educational and training resources related to compliance.
• Conduct periodic assessments of training test result data.
• Ensure that all required training is completed promptly and satisfactorily by staff.
• Formulate and implement effective policies and procedures.
• Prepare agenda items and deliver presentations on regulatory and healthcare compliance updates to compliance liaisons on a quarterly basis.
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, legal affairs, internal audit, coding, and billing.
• Preferred experience in a compliance department supporting a multi-physician group practice within an academic medical center environment.
• Certification in Healthcare Compliance is strongly preferred.
• Healthcare Compliance (CHC) certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Must possess CPC or CCS-P coding certification.
• Experience in reviewing and interpreting federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.
