This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Execute examination requests independently, directly collaborating with key partners to meet various external obligations, and oversee the examination processes from a Compliance standpoint.
• Oversee and organize corrective actions arising from Supervisory activities, including managing progress reports.
• Support the maintenance of a centralized repository for examination and reporting obligations across multiple exam engagements, which includes workpapers, worksheets, exam responses, regulatory guidance, and more.
• Collaborate with the Compliance Senior Manager to draft reports, memos, or presentations that effectively communicate the results and conclusions of compliance review activities or risk escalations to key stakeholders throughout the company.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of consumer compliance laws, regulations, and best practices, and recognize their relevance to Affirm's business model.
• Identify key Compliance risks at Affirm and the controls implemented to mitigate those risks.
• Conduct due diligence reviews to ensure documentation quality and completeness prior to submission to regulators.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in licensing, compliance, regulation, or internal auditing, preferably in consumer financial services.
• A bachelor's degree from a university/college; alternatively, we will consider additional years of experience beyond the required 5+ years.
• Proficient understanding of consumer protection laws, including (but not limited to): HMDA, BSA/AML, OFAC, Regulation E, FCRA, FDCPA, CAN-SPAM, TILA, and UDAAP regulations.
• Prior experience in highly regulated industries is preferred.
• Exceptional time management, administrative, and organizational abilities, with a strong capability to juggle multiple priorities and overlapping projects.
• Demonstrated project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
