β’ Independently manage examination requests, liaising with key collaborators to meet various external obligations and overseeing examination processes from a Compliance perspective.
β’ Coordinate and manage corrective actions arising from Supervisory activities, including progress reporting to management.
β’ Support the maintenance of a central repository for examination and reporting obligations across multiple exam engagements, encompassing workpapers, worksheets, exam responses, regulatory guidance, and more.
β’ Collaborate with the Compliance Senior Manager to draft reports, memos, or presentations that effectively convey the outcomes and conclusions of compliance review activities or risk escalations to key stakeholders throughout the company.
β’ Maintain a comprehensive understanding of consumer compliance laws, regulations, and best practices, recognizing their relevance to Affirm's business model.
β’ Clearly articulate key Compliance risks at Affirm and the controls implemented to mitigate those risks.
β’ Conduct due diligence reviews to ensure the quality and completeness of documentation prior to submission to regulators.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in licensing, compliance, regulatory affairs, or internal audit, preferably in the consumer financial services sector.
β’ Bachelor's degree from a four-year university/college; alternatively, additional years of experience beyond the 5+ years may be considered in lieu of a degree.
β’ Familiarity with consumer protection laws including, but not limited to: HMDA, BSA/AML, OFAC, Regulation E, FCRA, FDCPA, CAN-SPAM, TILA, and UDAAP regulations.
β’ Previous experience in highly-regulated industries is preferred.
β’ Exceptional time management, administrative, and organizational abilities, with a talent for balancing multiple priorities and concurrent projects.
β’ Demonstrated project management, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
β’ A sense of humility, integrity, and a commitment to contributing to a small yet robust and supportive team.
