This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• The Compliance Analyst is responsible for coordinating the collection and verification of substance and material composition details for purchased materials and components utilized in CVG's automotive and non-automotive product lines.
• Ensures that CVG products comply with U.S., European, and customer-specific regulatory requirements, including REACH, RoHS, POPs, Prop 65, PFAS, IMDS, and FMD data obligations.
• Assesses compliance for both new and existing products, evaluates the implications of emerging regulations, and collaborates with internal teams and external suppliers to gather and validate necessary information.
• Reports compliance status concerning U.S. state, federal, European, international, customer, and internal company standards related to substances and materials.
• Collaborates with internal teams to collect and confirm information regarding substance and material composition.
• Engages with external suppliers to obtain required substance and material data; monitors supplier responses and maintains a comprehensive master file.
• Evaluates compliance requirements for new product introductions and oversees the recertification process for existing products.
• Analyzes the impact of new and evolving regulations and customer-specific requests on CVG products.
• Manages material compliance data from a global supplier network, ensuring accuracy and promptness.
• Prepares and presents status reports for management and customers.
• Works cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Legal teams as necessary.
• High School Diploma is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in managing product material compliance programs.
• Experience in compliance or regulatory activities, specifically concerning substances and materials.
• Proficiency in navigating IMDS, FMD, and regulatory reporting frameworks (REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, PFAS, POPs).
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills: capable of evaluating, analyzing, and presenting large datasets to drive actionable outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with internal and external stakeholders across varying levels of compliance knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
