Compliance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Reviews and evaluates customs forms CF 28 (Request for Information) and CF 29 (Notice of Action)

• Conducts entry audits and generates reports to assess the complete scope of the issues addressed by the CF28/CF29

• Identifies additional clients who may be impacted

• Creates and examines ACE data reports as well as internal system reports related to customs compliance and regulations

• Proactively detects errors in entries and compliance challenges through reporting and analytics, and suggests corrective actions and process enhancements

• Collaborates with Deringer’s operations team and auditors to resolve issues and establish preventive measures

• Works alongside corporate and regional auditors and performs internal audits to evaluate customs compliance and regulations

• Partners with Regulatory Affairs to formulate and execute trade and compliance procedures

• Assesses and analyzes the validity of Free Trade Agreements

• Conducts evaluations for FTA eligibility

• Offers recommendations for enhancements and cost-saving initiatives

• Identifies and mitigates risks related to compliance

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed Customs Broker

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• At least five years of relevant industry experience

• Previous technical/compliance expertise and language proficiency are advantageous

• Advanced experience in HTS classification

• Preferred strong customer service skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to analyze and summarize extensive sets of complex data

• Excellent communication skills, including strong writing abilities

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
