This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Lead, mentor, and guide Commercial Lines Account Managers by offering coaching, training, and support to enhance professional development and ensure consistent service delivery.
• Oversee and manage a designated portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, including renewals, policy modifications, coverage assessments, and intricate client service requirements.
• Act as an escalation point for complex client inquiries, coverage-related questions, and negotiations with carriers, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.
• Establish and reinforce service standards, workflow expectations, and best practices to foster operational consistency and enhance client satisfaction.
• Assist with the onboarding, training, performance management, and continuous development of Commercial Lines team members.
• Monitor team workloads and productivity, aiding in the balance of assignments to ensure that service level expectations are consistently achieved.
• Analyze reports and quality metrics to identify trends, enhance processes, and support ongoing operational improvements.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, carrier partners, Producers, and internal stakeholders.
• Support carrier relationships, assist with potential E&O matters, and provide operational coverage during the absence of team members as necessary.
• Ensure accurate documentation within the agency management system and adherence to agency procedures and industry standards.
• Stay updated on commercial insurance products, carrier guidelines, underwriting practices, and industry trends through continuous professional development.
• 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Lines insurance, including responsibilities in commercial account management.
• Previous experience in leadership, supervision, mentoring, or team leading is preferred.
• An active Property & Casualty insurance license is required.
• In-depth understanding of Commercial Lines insurance products, coverages, underwriting principles, and policy servicing practices.
• Familiarity with agency management systems, preferably Applied Epic, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to forge strong relationships with clients, carrier partners, and internal teams while providing outstanding customer service.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
