Comedy Scriptwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create scripts and concepts for short-form comedic content tailored for TikTok and Instagram Reels.

• Design recurring formats, characters, and humorous perspectives centered around wellness and weight loss themes.

• Partner with the Creative Director and Social Media Manager to curate content calendars, engaging hooks, and overall creative vision.

• Write specifically for designated on-camera talent, adapting to their unique voice, timing, and delivery style.

• Brainstorm and propose new ideas weekly, discard concepts that don’t resonate, and enhance those that do.

• Operate within FDA and FTC compliance guidelines for healthcare content (training will be provided, but a willingness to learn is essential).

• Optionally appear on camera if you feel comfortable, though this is not a requirement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A portfolio showcasing short-form comedic writing. This could include spec scripts, published works, personal accounts, or anything that demonstrates your ability to be humorous in under 60 seconds.

• A solid understanding of TikTok and Reels formats, trends, and the elements that drive content performance.

• Capability to write in the voice of others, not just your own.

• Quick thinker. You can generate a multitude of concepts, identify which two are worth pursuing, and act swiftly.

• Comfortable working in a regulated environment and eager to learn the necessary guidelines.
