Collection Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Identify, develop, and prioritize hypotheses for improving collection strategies and processes through data analysis.

• Design, implement, and assess comprehensive A/B tests related to contact strategies, customer segmentation, and pricing models.

• Create and continually refine a multi-channel contact strategy that includes voice, SMS, WhatsApp, email, voicebots, and letters.

• Construct and sustain production dashboards and metrics for collections efficiency using Power BI.

• Automate repetitive analytical and operational workflows utilizing Python.

• Assess external collection agencies through placement strategies, cost vs. recovery analyses, and recommendations for portfolio rotation.

• Collaborate with the Collections Manager, operational teams, and technical stakeholders to convert insights into actionable process and strategy modifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in an analytical capacity within collections, credit risk, or portfolio management in consumer lending (fintech, banks, credit cards, BNPL, SOFOMs).

• Proficient in advanced English – essential; this will be the primary working language with the international team.

• Strong SQL proficiency, including knowledge of data storage design, indexing, execution plan analysis, lock awareness, and partitioning.

• Experience with Python for data analysis, scripting, and automating processes.

• Proficiency in Power BI for creating and maintaining production-ready dashboards.

• Thorough understanding of experimentation methodologies and metrics related to collections efficiency.

• Demonstrated capacity to manage projects from start to finish independently, without the need for micromanagement.
