This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Conduct audits on coding for outpatient facility services, which includes ancillary procedures, PET scans, and basic visit encounters, to ensure accuracy in coding and compliance with regulations.
β’ Execute thorough audits and evaluations of professional Evaluation and Management (E/M) documentation and coding to confirm the correctness of code assignments and reimbursement accuracy.
β’ Offer continuous feedback, training, and mentoring to coding personnel to enhance coding quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.
β’ Analyze and review clinical documentation along with assigned codes from various medical records to guarantee precise ICD-10-CM, CPT, and other relevant code assignments in line with current coding standards, regulatory requirements, and specific client policies and guidelines.
β’ Certification from AHIMA or AAPC
β’ 2-3 years of experience in auditing hospital outpatient and professional E&M
β’ Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCC, as well as procedural and surgical coding
β’ Capability to engage in client discussions concerning audit results
β’ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present confidently in person and through webinars or conference calls
