Cloud/DevOps Architect – Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and manage Azure infrastructure (AKS, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, serverless...) utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep) along with GitOps-based control planes (ideally Crossplane + Flux).

• Create and develop platform features centered around Kubernetes, prioritizing scalability, resilience, and security.

• Serve as the technical lead for the team, collaborating with the group architect and stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader strategic objectives.

• Take ownership of and enhance CI/CD processes in Azure DevOps, which includes automated testing and release management.

• Establish robust monitoring and alerting systems—experience with Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and Mimir (LGTM) is highly advantageous.

• Lead hands-on technical execution, translating architecture into sprint tasks, making scoped design decisions, and contributing through implementation, reviews, and troubleshooting.

• Maintain engineering quality and health by ensuring adherence to standards, conducting testing, managing operational readiness, addressing technical debt, and mentoring team members.

• Share knowledge and expertise while reviewing Infrastructure-as-Code code and designs.

• Execute L3 on-call responsibilities: triaging complex incidents, conducting root-cause analyses, and facilitating timely remediation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience managing production Azure environments, including extensive use of Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code.

• Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools (preferably Flux CD).

• Proficient in Linux and Bash scripting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; a self-starter capable of prioritizing tasks and driving initiatives independently from start to finish.

• Willingness to participate in an L3 on-call rotation (approximately one week every 3-4 weeks).
