Cloud Solution Architect

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Data Product Management, and Data Science teams to fulfill the data requirements for various initiatives at Hyatt.

• Contribute to the development of the Hyatt Enterprise Data Platform.

• Design and implement innovative analytical solutions to support internal clients.

• Develop solutions aimed at driving innovation.

• Suggest tools and capabilities based on an analysis of the current environment and expertise in on-premises, Cloud-based, and hybrid resources.

• Work alongside engineering, architecture, and migration teams to guide strategy and architectural design.

• Engage in design and prototyping utilizing various techniques and emerging technologies.

• Expand your skillset into areas such as automation, scripting, and containerization while creating critical systems for multiple internal clients.

• Lead initiatives to design and implement data solutions for data migration, data delivery, and machine learning pipelines.

• Construct a resilient, reliable, high-performance, and secure Data Platform and Applications.

• Collaborate extensively with application development and data engineering teams on daily tasks, project planning, and implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in application/platform engineering or related technical fields, such as business intelligence and analytics.

• At least 6 years of experience in AWS as a Senior Cloud Data Engineer, including management, maintenance, or architecting, while implementing best practices and industry standards.

• Extensive knowledge and proven experience with AWS services including, but not limited to: S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, Cloud Formation, Kinesis, Data Pipelines, EMR, Step Functions, VPC, IAM, and Security Groups.

• Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, AWS RDS, MongoDB, and Redis.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AI/Gemini models.

• Strong background in GCP provision throughput and LLM model support.

• Familiarity with current AI trends and hands-on experience with LLM model support and CI/CD processes.

• Solid understanding of cloud serverless solutions (AWS…S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, Event Bridge).

• Experience with cloud database services such as RDS, DynamoDB, and Document DB.

• Background in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS/Fargate).

• Familiarity with cloud build and deployment tools (Serverless, AWS SAM, GitLab).

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaaC) and cloud deployment languages (Serverless, CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform).

• Exposure to AI/LLM platforms and modern AI frameworks.

• Experience integrating AI workloads with cloud data platforms.

• Familiarity with GCP AI services and Gemini models is advantageous.

• Basic understanding of cloud services and infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, IAM, CloudWatch).

• Experience designing event-driven and service-oriented architectural solutions.

• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, pipelines, and automation scripting (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CloudFormation, and Terraform).

• High level of knowledge in IAM Roles and Policies.

• Strong expertise in configuring AWS cloud monitoring and alerts for the availability of cloud resources.

• Advanced scripting skills using PowerShell and/or Python.

• Strong technical capabilities to work independently without assistance from colleagues.

• Lead projects from end to end, including architecture, solutioning, cybersecurity, and security reviews, as well as implementation.

• Comprehensive knowledge of PaaS and SaaS application performance, along with an understanding of enterprise-level application architecture diagrams and IT security requirements.
