This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +1 more state.
• Design, develop, and sustain scalable data pipelines and APIs utilizing Google Cloud Platform.
• Create automated workflows and data platforms that facilitate analytics, reporting, and AI/ML applications.
• Establish best practices for data security, governance, CI/CD, and automated deployments.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders effectively.
• Generate high-quality, reusable code while mentoring team members on established best practices.
• Assist in testing, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Over 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in Data Architecture.
• At least 2 years of practical experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Minimum of 2 years in API development.
• Extensive experience with: BigQuery, Cloud Run, GKE, and Cloud Functions.
• Proficiency in Python (FastAPI), Java, or Scala.
• Familiarity with Apigee, Kafka, and Spark Streaming.
• Strong expertise in SQL, CI/CD, and Git/GitHub.
• Comprehensive understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Robust experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow/Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and APIs.
• Expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and streaming architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git/GitHub, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication abilities and capacity to mentor junior engineers.
• Preferred experience with Apigee, Python (FastAPI), Spark, Kafka, and Vertex AI.
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
