Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold the enterprise data classification strategy for the organization.

• Manage and enhance Microsoft Purview.

• Execute and sustain:

• Sensitivity Labels

• Auto-labeling Policies

• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

• Retention Policies

• Records Management

• Insider Risk Management

• Communication Compliance

• Intune Policy Protection measures

• Create Sensitive Information Types (SITs), Exact Data Match (EDM), and Trainable Classifiers.

• Locate sensitive information across Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other supported cloud repositories.

• Continuously enhance data governance via policy adjustments, reporting, and operational assessments.

• Prepare the organization for AI advancements like Microsoft 365 Copilot through effective classification and information safeguarding.

• Protect Microsoft Azure workloads and cloud-native services.

• Apply security best practices across networking, storage, compute, and platform services.

• Set up and maintain recommendations from Microsoft Defender for Cloud.

• Develop and sustain Azure Policy initiatives.

• Evaluate cloud configurations against CIS Benchmarks and Microsoft Security Baselines.

• Assist in vulnerability management and remediation efforts within cloud environments.

• Oversee Microsoft Entra ID security controls.

• Formulate and maintain Conditional Access policies.

• Facilitate Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

• Safeguard enterprise application registrations and service principals.

• Assess permissions, delegated access, and application consent.

• Support identity governance initiatives and the adoption of Zero Trust.

• Create PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation.

• Construct KQL queries for operational reporting and investigations.

• Integrate Purview and Azure telemetry into SIEM platforms.

• Enhance security operations through automation and orchestration.

• Document repeatable operational procedures and engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience securing Microsoft cloud environments.

• Hands-on experience with the administration of Microsoft Purview.

• Proficient in Microsoft Entra ID.

• Experience in securing Azure resources and cloud-native services.

• Strong comprehension of:

• Microsoft 365 Security

• Information Protection

• Identity & Access Management

• Zero Trust Architecture

• Data Governance

• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender technologies.

• Experience with scripting in PowerShell.
