This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct phone screenings with patients or caregivers in a compassionate and understanding manner.
• Accurately enter patient details into the computer database.
• Arrange and modify appointments for patient screenings and prescreening.
• Handle incoming inquiries from patients interested in participating in research studies.
• Assess the eligibility of potential participants through various methods such as screening interviews, medical record reviews, or consultation with clinic staff.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge about clinical research studies, including the inclusion and exclusion criteria for various studies.
• Update the database with the contact status of patients and document relevant information.
• Review, contact, and refresh sponsor patient portals as necessary.
• Execute any additional duties as requested or assigned.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 6 months of experience in a medical setting, customer service, call center, or a comparable field.
• A medical assistant, CNA, LPN/LVN, EMT certification, or another medical license is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in calendar management/scheduling and familiarity with clinical trial management systems is strongly preferred.
• Competence in using computer applications, including email, electronic health records, and basic software.
• Ability to type proficiently at a rate of 40+ words per minute.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic mathematical proficiency are essential.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication abilities are required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing workloads and priorities.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, respect for others, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic.
• A high level of honesty and dependability is essential.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, identify issues, and assist in finding solutions.
• Must handle highly sensitive patient health information with confidentiality and professionalism, in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Full-time employees regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits, with coverage beginning on the first day of the month following their date of hire.
