• Employs specialized clinical and coding knowledge to ensure the integrity of clinical documentation.

• Ensures the quality, completeness, and accuracy of medical record documentation.

• Performs concurrent reviews of selected patient health records.

• Assigns codes to diagnoses and collaborates with coding personnel to guarantee thorough documentation.

• Provides education to healthcare team members regarding clinical documentation standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate or Diploma Degree in Nursing or Health Information Technology (HIT).

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an inpatient coder or clinical documentation specialist.

• Valid Registered Nurse License, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCDS, CDIP preferred.

• Background in Critical Care, Medical, or Surgical Inpatient Care Nursing.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong critical thinking and prioritization capabilities.

• Proficient presentation and facilitation skills.
