β’ Ensures the quality, completeness, and accuracy of medical record documentation.
β’ Performs concurrent reviews of selected patient health records.
β’ Assigns codes to diagnoses and collaborates with coding personnel to guarantee thorough documentation.
β’ Provides education to healthcare team members regarding clinical documentation standards.
β’ Associate or Diploma Degree in Nursing or Health Information Technology (HIT).
β’ A minimum of 3 yearsβ experience as an inpatient coder or clinical documentation specialist.
β’ Valid Registered Nurse License, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCDS, CDIP preferred.
β’ Background in Critical Care, Medical, or Surgical Inpatient Care Nursing.
β’ Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
β’ Strong critical thinking and prioritization capabilities.
