This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize expert coding expertise in accordance with ICD‑10 guidelines to ensure the accuracy of diagnosis codes within medical record documentation.
• Assist clinical care teams by conducting thorough pre-visit and post-encounter chart reviews.
• Examine documentation to verify that each submitted code is adequately supported.
• Analyze MRA reports to identify conditions that have not been reported or resolved.
• Communicate with providers when further clarification or additional documentation is necessary.
• Uphold compliance standards while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification.
• Over 3 years of experience in CMS-HCC risk adjustment or HCC coding.
• More than 3 years of experience with ICD‑10 coding.
• At least 1 year of experience in HEDIS/Stars.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and pharmacology.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
