Claims Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare mortgage insurance claims for properties acquired through assigned agencies or investors.

• Finalize reconciliation of all advances that will be included in the claim.

• Verify all essential supporting documentation required for the claim.

• Keep accurate records and reports for management concerning daily production.

• Aid in updating the relevant workstations for claim payments.

• Monitor and track the payment status of submitted claims.

• Perform miscellaneous research to facilitate daily responsibilities.

• Complete the task queue and make notes in the internal system accordingly.

• Undertake any additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in default mortgage servicing, mortgage insurance claims, and/or the legal field.

• Capability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.

• Ability to make informed decisions and resolve issues efficiently.

• Competence to work independently and successfully meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally, including via telephone.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

• Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
