Claims Examiner – Liability, GL, BI, Litigation Experience Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Analyze complex or technically challenging liability claims to ascertain the benefits owed.

• Handle high-exposure claims that involve litigation and rehabilitation processes.

• Ensure the continuous adjudication of claims aligns with service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client service requirements.

• Identify potential subrogation of claims and engage in settlement negotiations.

• Investigate and gather information to assess complex or technically difficult liability claims and determine the exposure involved.

• Manage claims through well-structured action plans to achieve appropriate and timely resolutions.

• Evaluate liability and resolve claims accordingly.

• Negotiate settlements for claims within the prescribed authority.

• Calculate and assign timely and appropriate reserves to claims, ensuring reserve adequacy is maintained throughout the claim's lifecycle.

• Calculate and disburse benefits due; approve and execute timely claim payments and adjustments, and settle claims within the established authority level.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in liability claims management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
