
Claims Examiner – Auto, Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Evaluate and process intricate bodily injury claims related to auto and commercial transportation by assessing coverage, conducting investigations, determining liability, and measuring the extent of damages.
• Review complex auto bodily injury claims on behalf of clients.
• Handle intricate auto claims for both commercial and personal lines, including bodily injury cases.
• Ensure that claim files are accurately documented and coded appropriately.
• Oversee the litigation process for claims that are in litigation.
• Manage vendor relationships, including the utilization of independent adjusters.
• Notify excess carrier(s) of significant claims.
• Create and uphold action plans to guarantee compliance with state-mandated contact deadlines.
• Recognize and pursue subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; acquire and manage salvage accordingly.
• Communicate claim actions and processing updates with insured parties, clients, and agents or brokers as necessary.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Contribute to the organization's quality programs.
• A minimum of five (5) years of claims management experience or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of personal and commercial auto policies, coverages, principles, and legal regulations.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.
• Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office products.
• Capability to obtain and maintain the necessary state adjusting licenses for the position.
