Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with business teams to gather, analyze, and document API and integration requirements across various firm initiatives.

• Establish API specifications, which include request/response structures, payload formats, system interactions, and data mappings.

• Assist in API design and manage its lifecycle.

• Partner with architects and developers to ensure APIs conform to the standards of the Digital Client Onboarding platform and achieve desired business outcomes.

• Verify that API implementations comply with Operations and Compliance standards.

• Proven experience in gathering and documenting information from a range of business area stakeholders and subject matter experts.

• Employ continuous improvement methodologies to proactively seek out and initiate enhancements or the elimination of inefficient processes to boost customer service or achieve greater efficiencies.

• Collaborate with application development teams and vendors to identify potential solutions and assist in defining selection criteria.

⛳️ Requirements

• A University Degree, ideally in Computer Science or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in a business systems analyst role within the Brokerage Securities Industry or Financial Services, possessing strong business and/or IT knowledge.

• Solid understanding of Financial Products utilized in the Securities Industry and Wealth Management.

• Experience with API integration.

• Extensive experience with API-based solutions, encompassing requirements analysis, interface mapping, payload validation, error handling, and integration support in complex enterprise settings.

• Proficient in facilitating technical discussions and conducting knowledge transfers to clients and internal teams.

• Experience working in an Agile environment within a self-managed team.

• Strong capability to present ideas, lead technical walkthroughs, and provide clear status updates.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; strong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• High technical aptitude and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
