This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of architecting and constructing internal datasets for business intelligence reporting.
• Oversee the current infrastructure, including the ingestion of data from MySql databases to BigQuery, the curation of a semantic layer between raw source data and Power BI, as well as internal CRM databases, Power Query (M Language), Salesforce, and more.
• Develop automated and precise reporting dashboards.
• Design, create, and maintain business intelligence solutions utilizing Power BI.
• Administer the consumption and accessibility of Power BI reports throughout the organization.
• Enhance and manage existing data models and their relationships.
• Generate DAX-based calculations and troubleshoot relevant issues.
• Address any challenges associated with loops and hierarchy.
• Create and evaluate models and KPIs.
• Design and assess visualizations.
• Advance the BI model to empower users to create their own reports (self-service).
• Collaborate across departments to enhance business intelligence architecture and reporting capabilities.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, environmental, monitoring, and operability issues related to Power BI reports.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in both business and IT sectors.
• Implement enterprise-grade best practices for data ingestion, semantic layers, and reporting layers.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience with the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, specifically Power BI and BigQuery.
• At least 3 years of experience in creating business, accounting, and finance-oriented visualizations and user interfaces.
• Experience in building ETL pipelines.
• Demonstrated expertise in the development and administration of at least one of the following areas:
• Back-end data integration and architecture, including dimensional data modeling, database design, data warehousing, ETL development, and performance tuning.
• Front-end reporting and analytics platforms such as OLAP cube design, tabular data modeling, Performance Point, Power Pivot, Power View, and Power BI report/dashboard development.
• Exceptional SQL skills.
• Familiarity with various DB Ops tools.
• Foundational understanding in the following areas:
• Metadata management.
• Master Data Management.
• Data Governance.
• Data Analytics.
• Security and compliance-focused workflows.
• Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to translate business processes and data into actionable insights and solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, complemented by a keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work proactively both independently and collaboratively.
• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic, client-facing role where delivering high-quality work that exceeds expectations is a key measure of success.
