Business Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Data Extraction, Preparation, and Transformation: Crafting SQL queries to retrieve data from diverse sources.

• Cleaning, transforming, and validating raw data to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and consistency for analysis; generating reports and driving solutions for data quality challenges.

• Conducting data wrangling to organize datasets for targeted analytical tasks.

• Establishing data transformation processes based on business rules.

• Data Analytics and Business Analytics: Evaluating customer profile data, examining business processes, and identifying how process and segmentation rules influence customer classifications.

• Detecting anomalies in customer classifications, inconsistencies in business processes and data; undertaking in-depth investigations to reveal root causes.

• Formulating recommendations to resolve customer profile anomalies and inconsistencies in processes/data.

• Reporting and Visualization: Conveying findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders through effective presentations and written reports.

• Conducting ad-hoc analyses to address specific business inquiries from various stakeholders.

• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Partnering closely with business teams to comprehend their data requirements and translate them into analytical needs.

• Presenting findings and insights to management and cross-functional teams to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Excel, with a strong foundation in pivot tables, advanced formulas, and charts.

• At least 1-2 years of experience or a solid foundation in SQL for macro programming.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience or a robust foundation in Business Analytics, data analytics, financial modeling, business casing, and performance reporting.

• Strong understanding of data structures; exceptional data reconciliation and QA skills.

• Proficient in PowerPoint.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

• Demonstrates a high degree of learning agility with the ability to quickly grasp new tools, processes, and business concepts.

• Once fully independent, the resource will transition to Golden Hours, which are from 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM Philippine Time.
