Business Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with operations, finance, and leadership teams to gain insights into business requirements and operational challenges.

• Evaluate business processes and pinpoint opportunities to enhance efficiency, visibility, and performance.

• Document workflows, reporting needs, and operational procedures.

• Assist with project tracking, financial reporting, and reviews of operational performance.

• Gather, validate, clean, and analyze data from various systems and sources.

• Identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for performance enhancement.

• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that aid in strategic decision-making.

• Establish meaningful KPIs and operational metrics.

• Convert complex data into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.

• Create and manage dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Google Workspace, or comparable tools.

• Facilitate reporting automation and recurring data processes.

• Enhance data accuracy, consistency, and governance across systems.

• Assist in generating predictive insights regarding project performance, cost management, workforce planning, and operational efficiency.

• Work closely with field operations, project managers, finance, and executive leadership.

• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Promote continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Reporting, or Business Intelligence roles.

• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and complex formulas.

• Experience handling large datasets and multiple data sources.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Capability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

• Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.

• Preferred experience in supporting construction, utility, telecom, industrial, or field operations environments.

• Preferred familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar visualization platforms.

• Knowledge of SQL, VBA, Google Apps Script, Power Query, or automation tools is preferred.

• Experience in supporting operational, financial, or project-based reporting is preferred.

• Understanding of KPI development and performance analytics is preferred.

• Bonus for certifications in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Project Management, Agile, or Scrum.

• Bonus for experience in building automated reporting solutions and executive dashboards.
