This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Set rates and retention strategies for both new and existing Group Benefit plans, ensuring target profitability levels are met.
• Deliver internal account management to proactively address client inquiries regarding pricing and benefit modifications.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the liabilities associated with various group benefits arrangements.
• Prepare quotation submissions, including responses to relevant questionnaires.
• Facilitate the onboarding of new clients by developing intricate client structures and applications.
• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure that administrative tasks and plan design features are effectively managed.
• Enhance operational performance to achieve long-term financial viability.
• Negotiate contracts covering financial arrangements, benefit plan provisions, and service and performance standard agreements.
• Post-Secondary education demonstrating exceptional business, mathematical, and analytical capabilities.
• Profound understanding of the Group Insurance market, along with its products and services.
• Professional expertise in risk management, with proven work-related underwriting experience in Group Benefits.
• Established ability to effectively collaborate with and support sales teams.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including data manipulation such as pivot tables) and Word.
• CEBS or GBA certification is highly encouraged and recommended.
• Capacity to make balanced decisions that consider effective risk management, financial discipline, and customer needs.
• Robust business acumen with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts, analyses, and results clearly and concisely (both written and verbal).
• Ability to engage with Senior Management, colleagues from other divisions, and external clients.
• Strategic and innovative thinker dedicated to identifying solutions for unique customer requirements.
• Confident and skilled negotiator with a proven track record of building relationships and influencing decision-making.
• Persuasive communicator capable of articulating ideas and presenting information at various organizational levels.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated capability to produce high-quality materials within tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
