This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete delivery process of BI and analytics solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, from gathering requirements to deploying in production.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders in the Healthcare and Insurance sectors to grasp their reporting, analytics, and decision-making needs.
• Convert business requirements into scalable semantic models and BI architectures that adhere to enterprise standards.
• Design, develop, and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports while ensuring best practices for performance, usability, and accessibility.
• Establish and refine BI architecture frameworks, which encompass workspace strategies, dataset reuse, and the separation of Dev/Test/Prod environments.
• Assist in governance, security, and lifecycle management, which includes RLS, documentation, and deployment standards.
• Work collaboratively across functions with Data Engineering, Platform, Security, Product, and Operations teams.
• Implement embedded analytics solutions for both internal and external use, selecting the appropriate embedding patterns.
• Utilize Power BI REST APIs to automate deployments, refreshes, and CI/CD pipelines within Microsoft Fabric.
• Provide guidance on and facilitate Copilot and AI-assisted analytics, identifying opportunities for enhancing development efficiency and insights.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the enterprise BI platform, balancing rapid delivery with long-term scalability and sustainability.
• Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic analytics environment.
• Over 6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or BI Architecture roles.
• Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, which includes Power BI, OneLake, semantic models, dataflows, and Fabric workspaces.
• Comprehensive understanding of Fabric capacity management, security, governance, and deployment models.
• Knowledge of the interaction between ingestion, modeling, and consumption layers throughout the end-to-end process.
• Advanced expertise in Power BI reporting and modeling, including the design of dimensional and analytical semantic models.
• Strong skills in DAX, performance tuning, and scalability optimization.
• Experience with paginated reports and guidance on appropriate use cases compared to interactive reports.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, Snowflake, and Oracle as data sources for Power BI composite models.
• A mindset geared towards BI architecture and administration, with experience in building enterprise-grade BI platforms rather than standalone reports.
• Exposure to Power BI REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
• Understanding of embedded analytics patterns and the principles of secure, scalable reporting for external users.
• Working knowledge of AI and Copilot features within Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, including governance considerations.
• Experience in Healthcare and/or Insurance settings.
• Understanding of concepts such as claims, members, providers, eligibility, policies, and financial KPIs.
• Awareness of regulatory, compliance, and data privacy standards.
• Strong English communication skills, capable of leading clear and confident discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to gather and refine requirements directly from business users.
• Capability to document solutions clearly and hand off designs for independent execution.
• Strong collaborator across departments, demonstrating high emotional intelligence and stakeholder empathy.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, helping to structure evolving platforms and requirements.
• Strategic, architecture-focused mindset that views Power BI and Fabric as enterprise platforms.
• Ability to align with existing BI frameworks while seeking continuous improvement.
