This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Participate in business analysis workshops to gather, clarify, and translate reporting and analysis requirements into effective BI solutions.
• Design and develop reports and dashboards to meet both informational and operational needs, adhering to best practices in Tableau.
• Build and optimize Tableau data sources, extracts, calculations, filters, parameters, actions, and dashboard interactions.
• Utilize SQL to query, validate, transform, and analyze data from warehouses, lakehouses, and other backend data platforms.
• Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to align Tableau dashboards with underlying data models, pipelines, and curated datasets.
• Support production BI applications, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, user support, and enhancement requests.
• Document BI solutions, including dashboard logic, data definitions, source-to-report mappings, calculations, and Tableau publishing structures.
• Support or lead BI migration initiatives, including on-premise to cloud transitions, modernization of legacy dashboards, or platform consolidation.
• Execute tasks in alignment with BI development standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of BI practices.
• Conduct demonstrations, client presentations, and Proof of Concepts to showcase BI solutions and analytical capabilities.
• Advanced English is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Visualization Consultant, BI Developer, or similar role.
• Strong expertise in Tableau, including:
- LOD calculations
- Parameters, actions, filters
- Extracts vs live connections
- Tableau performance optimization
- Publishing and permissions in Tableau Server/Cloud
- Dashboard UX and best practices
• Solid knowledge of SQL for data validation, joins, transformations, performance optimization, and analytical queries.
• Strong understanding of data concepts, including data modeling for analysis and the fundamentals of ETL/ELT, as well as how BI tools consume backend data.
• Experience collaborating with or supporting backend data platforms (e.g., data warehouses, lakehouses, cloud data services).
• Familiarity with modern data environments that feed BI tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure data services, Fabric).
• Good interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience with Qlik or Power BI is a plus.
• Experience supporting migrations from on-premise to cloud is a plus.
