
BI Claims Adjuster, Courier Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver prompt, courteous, and high-quality customer service to all policyholders and claimants by responding to customer calls, texts, and/or emails in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collect necessary information from customers to initiate claims, clarify policy details, provide coverage explanations, and educate them on the claims process and subsequent steps.
• Oversee a portfolio of claims, set initial reserves for all potential exposures, and make adjustments as needed throughout the claims process.
• Collaborate with the APD team on the management of property damage claims.
• Identify recovery opportunities related to subrogation and salvage, as well as total loss situations.
• Ensure adherence to specific state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.
• Negotiate suitable settlements with claimants, insured parties, and attorneys within the approved payment authority.
• Contribute insights for the ongoing development of claims guidelines, best practices, and process enhancements.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of claims processes and ensure that outside investigative service providers, including independent appraisers and defense counsel, are directed according to our needs for a swift and appropriate resolution, while keeping our clients informed as necessary.
• Participate in learning opportunities to enhance understanding of claims statutes, recent and updated court rulings affecting the claims function, current internal guidelines, and modifications to policies.
• At least 5 years of experience in commercial transportation, particularly in delivery and/or courier bodily injury, UM/UIM, litigation, and/or catastrophic loss claims.
• Active licensure in your home state or designated home state.
• Willingness to obtain all relevant licenses within 45 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (candidates without one are encouraged to apply if they possess all other qualifications).
• Understanding of state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.
• Willingness to travel based on client and claims needs.
