Behavioral Health Therapist, MD License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Deliver integrated behavioral health services as part of a collaborative team of primary and specialty care providers, focusing on clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

• Manage a caseload of patients, conducting therapy sessions lasting between 30 to 45 minutes for Galileo patients residing in your licensed state, with dedicated time blocks each week to support them.

• Engage with a diverse group of patients, as we are committed to cultivating an inclusive culture that embraces individuals from all backgrounds.

• Address patient challenges efficiently by utilizing resourcefulness, collaborating with colleagues to leverage their expertise, and maintaining a proactive attitude.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in providing teletherapy (via text, video, and phone) and incorporating technology and data into care delivery.

• Trained in evidence-based methodologies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT).

• Proficient in safety planning and intervention in situations where clients may present with heightened risks.

• Licensed and credentialed to assist patients dealing with clinical issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.

• Active license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or equivalent.

• An active license in MD is required; additional licenses in TX, OR, TN, MA, and/or CA are advantageous.

• Proficiency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding cultural nuances) is a valuable asset in a medical context.
