Backend Engineer, Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain robust backend systems

• Create and execute GraphQL and REST APIs

• Oversee database design and optimization utilizing SQL, PostgreSQL, and Prisma

• Build and deploy cloud infrastructure using AWS

• Implement architectures driven by events.

• Integrate external services (Resend, Onfido, Clerk, Hubspot)

• Construct software adhering to microservices and monorepo methodologies

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software through automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines

• Collaborate efficiently with both engineers and non-technical team members

• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical challenges

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript

• APIs: Proficient in designing and implementing GraphQL and REST APIs

• Database Management: Competence in SQL, PostgreSQL, and Prisma (or a similar ORM)

• Cloud Infrastructure: Practical experience with AWS services and cloud deployment processes is essential

• Event-Driven Architecture: Familiarity with event-driven systems (e.g., Inngest)

• Integrated Services: Experience with third-party integrations, including an understanding of OAuth and SSO protocols

• Patterns and Tooling: Background in microservices, monorepos, and tools such as Turborepo

• Testing and CI/CD: Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines

• Proficiency in English

• Nice-to-have: Experience with React and Next.js.
