This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Design and execute scalable integrations (APIs, services, MCP interfaces) that present internal and external systems as reusable skills for AI agents.
• Partner in the development and enhancement of the execution layer, guaranteeing reliable, secure, and scalable actions driven by agents.
• Connect the AI platform with business systems such as GIS data sources, valuation tools, and various enterprise applications.
• Develop and sustain clean, well-documented APIs and backend services that support modular and reusable architectures.
• Ensure that integrations are resilient, observable, and high-performing, with suitable monitoring and error management.
• Collaborate closely with AI and Data Engineers within a shared backlog, contributing to comprehensive end-to-end delivery rather than isolated components.
• Extensive experience in backend development and system integration, creating robust and scalable services.
• Demonstrated practical experience with Azure environments, including integration with Databricks.
• Strong background in API and backend development, particularly with RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Proficient Python programming skills for developing services, integrations, and automation tasks.
• Experience in integrating enterprise systems using both internal and external APIs.
• Solid understanding of distributed system fundamentals, such as asynchronous processing, queues and messaging, and scalable architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a knack for debugging and resolving system and integration challenges efficiently.
• Capability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English.
