Backend Engineer, AI – Agent Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage backend systems that facilitate AI-driven features in a production setting.

• Create inference pipelines, orchestration layers, and define service boundaries around models.

• Take ownership of production-related aspects: monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident management.

• Enhance latency and throughput across inference, caching, batching, and streaming processes.

• Solid foundation in backend engineering within production environments.

• Proven experience in managing high-throughput, low-latency services.

• Knowledge of AI inference patterns including LLMs, embeddings, and multimodal approaches.

• Proficient in troubleshooting distributed systems under load.
