This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Development and ongoing enhancement of a contemporary payment platform tailored for e-commerce and POS applications.
• Design and execution of scalable backend services and APIs.
• Integration of top-tier payment providers and associated payment services.
• Crafting robust processes for webhooks, routing, error handling, and transaction processing.
• Close cooperation with product, architecture, security professionals, and management.
• Technical input into the platform architecture and related technological decisions.
• Development of technical documentation and API specifications for partners and clients.
• Ensuring adherence to high quality, security, and performance benchmarks.
• Readiness to participate in significant on-site meetings.
• Several years of experience in backend development.
• Strong grasp of modern API architectures.
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, or similar backend technologies.
• Ideally, familiarity with payments, FinTech, or transaction-oriented systems.
• Understanding of scalable cloud architectures and contemporary software development methodologies.
• Interest in security-related topics and secure software architectures.
• Independent and structured working approach.
• Excellent proficiency in German or English.
• High level of autonomy and genuine technical responsibility.
