Backend Architect – Golang

📋 Description

• Define and enhance the architecture of our backend platform that supports millions of user connections.

• Design and develop highly available distributed services in Golang, establishing the technical direction for scalability, reliability, and performance objectives.

• Lead code reviews and advocate for testing discipline, clean architecture, and engineering best practices throughout the team.

• Collaborate with the SDK team to seamlessly integrate client features into backend systems and ensure end-to-end functionality.

• Mentor engineers to enhance the technical expertise of the team while working alongside security, infrastructure, and product teams.

• Propel the team to achieve performance goals and deliver dependable products that safeguard users at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in backend engineering and architecture, including a minimum of 5 years in Golang.

• Demonstrated success in designing and managing distributed systems at scale, with a profound understanding of networking protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS).

• Practical experience with VPN protocols (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec), tunneling, NAT traversal, and low-latency networking.

• Experience in production environments on AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, Aurora/RDS) utilizing container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and a strong background in Linux development.

• Familiarity with cryptography fundamentals, threat modeling methodologies, secure coding practices, and robust API design skills.
