Azure DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance Azure-based infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code through Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

• Create and sustain scalable CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps Pipelines for application, infrastructure, and platform workloads.

• Manage and optimize Azure DevOps services, which include Azure Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Boards, and service connections.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance build, release, and deployment workflows across microservices and cloud-native applications.

• Establish robust observability across systems employing Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and associated monitoring tools.

• Enhance platform security by incorporating secrets management, policy enforcement, vulnerability scanning, and least-privilege access controls.

• Oversee and enhance containerized environments utilizing Kubernetes, Helm, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Promote reliability engineering practices, which include incident responses, root cause analysis, SLO thinking, and automated remediation where applicable.

• Standardize reusable templates, modules, and platform patterns to improve developer productivity and consistency.

• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on Azure architecture, deployment automation, release governance, and DevSecOps practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline design for various application stacks and deployment strategies.

• Profound hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure, encompassing compute, networking, identity, storage, monitoring, and security services.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar automation frameworks.

• Proficient with containers and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes, preferably with AKS experience.

• Background in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or comparable languages.

• Strong understanding of source control workflows, package management, artifact promotion, and release strategies.

• Experience in implementing observability, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards for production systems.

• Solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, compliance controls, and secure software delivery practices.

• Exceptional collaboration and communication abilities, with the capability to influence technical direction across teams.
