Azure DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.

📋 Description

• Provision and oversee cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform and best practices for infrastructure automation.

• Design, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines through the use of GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.

• Resolve infrastructure, networking, and connectivity challenges within Azure environments.

• Assist application teams with deployment processes, platform operations, and management of environments.

• Manage and improve containerized applications running on AKS and Kubernetes.

• Implement secure solutions for identity, access, and secrets management.

• Monitor platform performance, reliability, and availability leveraging observability and monitoring tools.

• Automate operational workflows through scripting, reusable processes, and infrastructure automation.

• Collaborate with Agile teams, balancing competing priorities while delivering secure and scalable solutions.

• Identify, suggest, and execute platform enhancements that boost reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.

• Strong practical experience with Terraform and tools for infrastructure automation.

• Advanced understanding of Azure services, including AKS, Networking, Managed Identities, Key Vault, App Services, Cosmos DB, Cognitive Search, and Azure OpenAI.

• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Expertise in CI/CD automation employing GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and other related toolchains.

• Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Okta.

• Proficient in Linux administration and scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms like Datadog and Azure Application Insights.

• Familiarity with application and database deployments using React.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.

• Capacity to work effectively in Agile settings, adapt to shifting priorities, and proactively foster improvements.

• Azure, Terraform, or equivalent cloud certifications are preferred.
