Auditor, SOC2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Develop audit strategies and document system descriptions through inquiries regarding controls and processes.

• Conduct video conference meetings with clients, ensuring cameras are on, to execute on-screen walkthroughs during US hours to gather evidence and prepare work papers.

• Review and approve testing outcomes provided by testers.

• Assist the audit manager with any client-related tasks during their absence.

• Oversee a portfolio of over 20 startup clients.

• Proactively address and escalate client issues and concerns internally with leadership for resolution.

• Produce 10 to 15 reports each month, maintaining the same closing date.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in IT audits, security evaluations, or compliance (internships or projects are encouraged).

• Fundamental understanding of information security concepts and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR preferred).

• Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with global clients.

• Willingness to learn and develop in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related discipline.
