This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Assist the Therapeutic Area Lead in pinpointing and promoting strategic initiatives for Hematology Medical Affairs in Germany.
• Discover opportunities for innovative approaches, processes, cross-functional collaboration, and partnerships within the industry.
• Adapt the global medical strategy into a strategic roadmap tailored for Germany.
• Define the strategic direction for evidence generation and scientific partnerships throughout the hematology portfolio.
• Create cross-portfolio initiatives that enhance scientific impact and foster synergies across various assets and lifecycle stages.
• Facilitate collaboration with Clinical Operations to optimize site identification, feasibility, recruitment strategies, and study performance.
• Establish strategic partnerships with German cooperative study groups and external scientific stakeholders.
• Integrate medical, field, and market insights into actionable recommendations for affiliate and regional strategies.
• Collaborate with Medical Advisors, the Field Medical Lead, and cross-functional leaders while supporting asset execution without direct operational ownership.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Therapeutic Area Lead.
• Travel frequently, estimated at 30–40% of the time, and engage in congresses and medical meetings.
• At least 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Strong background in Medical Affairs, particularly in Hematology.
• Proven track record in strategic leadership, matrix collaboration, and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Comprehensive understanding of the therapeutic area disease landscape, treatment pathways, clinical research environment, and national study group structures.
• Capability to adapt global medical strategy into a locally applicable roadmap and actionable recommendations.
• Skill in identifying and addressing unmet medical, educational, and research needs.
• Advanced analytical skills for the collection, analysis, and interpretation of scientific data and insights.
• Experience in evidence planning, scientific partnerships, clinical research collaboration, and cross-functional medical innovation.
• Thorough knowledge of industry ethical and compliance standards along with the local healthcare system.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally while managing complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities.
• High emotional intelligence and respect for diversity and multiculturalism.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic CRM systems.
• Fluency in both verbal and written English and German.
• Willingness to travel extensively (estimated 30–40% of the time).
• Valid driving license is required.
• Salary range of 128,300.00 EUR - 160,400.00 EUR per year.
• Participation in congresses and medical meetings.
