This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Lead and enhance the capabilities of information governance and data compliance across S&P Global’s global data and analytics operations.
• Design, implement, and oversee enterprise information governance frameworks related to data creation, usage, retention, and disposal.
• Own and manage the Information Governance Policy, Information Classification Standard, and Records Retention Schedule.
• Establish and supervise enterprise-wide data classification frameworks and compliance monitoring efforts.
• Collaborate with Information Security and technology teams on data access, storage, and protection controls.
• Implement and monitor metrics for classification compliance and the effectiveness of data handling.
• Drive the development of a scalable enterprise data governance model that includes data inventory, cataloging, ownership, stewardship, and visibility and control of data flows.
• Integrate governance controls throughout products, platforms, and operations.
• Incorporate privacy by design and by default into business processes, systems, and product development.
• Support S&P Global’s Global Privacy Program and ensure controls for lawful, fair, and proportionate processing of personal information.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams concerning regulatory obligations across various jurisdictions.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks related to data governance, retention, classification, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with internal audits, regulatory inquiries, and external assessments.
• Maintain compliance documentation and evidence that is ready for audit.
• Support the development, implementation, and enhancement of S&P Global’s AI governance framework.
• Establish and oversee policies, standards, controls, and risk assessment processes for the AI lifecycle as needed.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Technology, Risk, and business stakeholders to foster responsible, transparent, accountable, and compliant use of AI.
• Collaborate with senior and executive stakeholders on a global scale.
• Serve as a senior advisor across Legal, Compliance, Technology, and business divisions.
• Lead cross-functional governance forums to promote alignment and accountability.
• Over 10 years of experience in information governance, data governance, privacy, or regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience within a global, data-driven organization.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools and emerging technologies aimed at enhancing efficiency and streamlining workflows.
• Comprehensive understanding of data lifecycle management.
• In-depth knowledge of records management and retention practices.
• Strong grasp of information classification frameworks.
• Extensive knowledge of global data protection and privacy regulations.
