Associate Director, Central Operations, Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Supervise four key operational functions in EMEA, which include central operations and compliance, payroll, onboarding, and local representatives.

• Serve as the trusted advisor to all stakeholders regarding global employment, international mobility, and regulatory compliance.

• Take ownership of our central knowledge base and formulate strategic plans to encourage stakeholder contributions and utilization of the knowledge base.

• Manage global employment and mobility solutions for EMEA, and facilitate the transfer of these solutions to sales and operational stakeholders internally.

• Collaborate with the Legal Department, internal stakeholders, and external vendors on various documentation, including but not limited to Employment Agreements, work rules and policies, knowledge base documentation on global employment regulations, best practices, FAQs, as well as internal operational procedures and processes.

• Offer essential operational and compliance support to internal stakeholders, including Sales, Customer Service, Employee Relations, and Payroll teams.

• Advise, execute, and manage strategic operational expansion initiatives into EMEA and other designated jurisdictions.

• Conduct regular training sessions for Sales and Operations teams to enhance their understanding and skills in HR compliance and payroll-related issues.

• Ensure that operational processes and practices adhere to local labor regulations and company standards throughout EMEA.

• Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, compliance governance, and service delivery standards.

• Keep track of regulatory updates and proactively inform relevant stakeholders of any operational or compliance implications.

• Work collaboratively across functions to support onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and international mobility operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, International Business, or a related field.

• A minimum of 8–12 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, global mobility, employment compliance, or similar roles.

• Comprehensive knowledge of EMEA employment laws, payroll regulations, and HR compliance practices.

• Demonstrated experience in managing regional or global operations teams.

• Previous experience in multinational, EOR, PEO, or global workforce solutions environments is preferred.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities, capable of influencing cross-functional teams.

• Exceptional project management and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance awareness.

• Experience in developing operational procedures, policies, and knowledge management systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.

• Ability to confidently conduct training sessions and present compliance-related topics to internal stakeholders.

• Experience in supporting regional expansion efforts and cross-border operational activities is an advantage.
