Applied AI Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits of AI tools and MCP integrations throughout the organization to map their access to sensitive systems, data, and credentials for policy definition.

• Create and implement multi-layered guardrails, encompassing system prompts, scoped permissions, and sandboxing strategies.

• Keep an updated inventory of MCP servers and AI-to-service connections along with their data access controls.

• Collaborate with users across the organization to establish secure-by-default AI-assisted workflows.

• Assess new AI tools, plugins, and integration requests to determine secure implementation strategies.

• Continuously test and red-team guardrails to uncover security vulnerabilities.

• Document guidance and patterns that are accessible to non-security personnel.

• Assume primary responsibility for AI security controls and considerations throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Relevant professional software development experience, with a solid understanding of how services, APIs, and permissions interrelate.

• Practical experience utilizing AI coding/productivity tools (such as Claude, Copilot, Gemini, or similar) in business-critical workflows.

• Familiarity with automotive security and safety standards, including UNECE R155 and ISO 26262.

• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to work collaboratively with engineers as partners.

• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar agent-integration frameworks.

• Awareness of prompt injection, jailbreaking, or other attack techniques specific to AI/LLM.

• Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or other safety-critical systems.
