Application Support Lead Analyst – Vice President

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with various technology teams to ensure effective integration of functions to achieve objectives.

• Identify and outline necessary enhancements to systems.

• Analyze existing system logic, spot issues, and recommend and implement solutions.

• Offer expertise in the field and possess an advanced understanding of application support principles.

• Formulate and define the scope and objectives of systems for complex, high-impact application improvements and problem resolution through thorough analysis and evaluation of intricate business processes, systems, and industry standards; document requirements.

• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to assess and document system impacts and support needs.

• Evaluate the implications of applying technology to the existing environment.

• Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security concerns; communicate their impact; and suggest options for risk mitigation.

• Serve as an advisor or mentor to new or less experienced analysts; delegate tasks.

• Provide comprehensive analysis with interpretative thinking to identify problems and devise innovative solutions.

• Have a direct impact on the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel, or provided services.

• Appropriately evaluate risk when making business decisions, showing particular regard for the firm's reputation and protecting Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and transparently reporting control issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of proven and practical experience in a production support role managing enterprise-level applications.

• Demonstrated experience in SRE practices, including advanced monitoring, alerting, incident response, post-mortems, and driving automation for operational efficiency and system reliability.

• Extensive expertise in Unix/Linux environments and advanced Shell scripting.

• Proficient with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics) and log aggregation platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK).

• Practical experience with containerization platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes).

• Hands-on experience with relational (Oracle, MSSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.

• Strong understanding of messaging solutions (e.g., Tibco EMS, MQ, Kafka).

• Experience in working with REST APIs.

• Solid understanding of distributed application architecture, including networks, load balancers, storage, and authentication (AD/LDAP).

• Working knowledge and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and principles.

• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, models, and tools, along with practical experience in utilizing AI-driven tools to support and optimize applications.

• Demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical issues to a varied audience of technical and business professionals.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, including experience leading or contributing to requirement gathering for multiple large development projects while consistently maintaining a service-oriented approach.
