Application Architect, Oracle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the architecture of current systems;

• Assess the integration of various information systems;

• Design, review, and develop components of data warehouse architecture;

• Create documentation for data warehouse architecture, design and analysis models, and implementation models;

• Monitor data analysis and data modeling activities;

• Document technical implementations;

• Provide assistance or support for resolving production issues and ensuring data quality;

• Aid in testing, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in IT or a related field, along with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in IT;

• Over 12 years of experience with ORACLE, ORACLE advanced PL/SQL (including advanced cursors, exception handling, database triggers, dynamic SQL/PL/SQL), PL/SQL procedures and packages, performance tuning, and Microsoft SQL Server DB, as well as proven experience with ORACLE external procedures, Flashback features, Publish-Subscribe Model, Microservices Architecture, Sagas APIs, Lock-Free Reservation, Sessionless Transactions, Edition-Based Redefinition, Transaction Guard, and DDL Change Notification;

• Strong knowledge of Relational DBMS and database applications;

• Extensive experience with Java;

• Proficient in UML and modeling tools;

• Familiarity with RDBMS microservices architecture and cloud database architecture;

• Understanding of data warehouse application design;

• Knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouse Architecture;

• Proficient in ETL tools and complex file transformation and processing;

• Familiarity with Wiki and collaborative sites;

• Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile);

• Excellent command of the English language.
