This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• The auditor will undergo additional training and is subsequently expected to assist the American Petroleum Institute (API).
• Conduct Quality Management Systems (QMS) audits for manufacturing, oil, and natural gas service organizations.
• Execute technical audits based on product specifications, performance criteria, management systems, and contractual obligations.
• This role will be situated at various locations within the operational areas while on assignment, with responsibilities carried out at designated client sites.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent GED with technical training is mandatory.
• A post-secondary degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of four years of relevant technical/quality work experience is required.
• At least two years of auditing experience or two years of professional experience (engineering, project planning, management, supervisory, manufacturing, etc.) OR a combination of two years of auditing and professional experience.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry or in similar manufacturing and/or service sectors is necessary.
• Participation in at least five management system audits is preferred.
• A working knowledge of the following manufacturing processes: Machining, Heat Treatment, Welding, Coating, and NDE is essential.
• Ability to discern requirements from technical documents, including: Design (dimensional specifications), Performance/testing criteria, Material specifications, Marking criteria, and Packing and shipping requirements.
• Preferred auditing skills include process-based experience.
• Prior experience with NACE/IAF Code 17 and 18 is advantageous.
• Desired management system knowledge includes API specifications (API Specs 5CT, 6A, 6D, Q1, etc.).
• Experience in the implementation, design, maintenance, etc., of quality, environmental, and/or health and safety management systems is desirable.
• Familiarity with applicable Management System Standards: API Spec Q1 is required.
• Knowledge of auditing techniques (ISO 9001, 14001, and/or OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor Course, internal auditor training, ISO 19011 training, other lead auditor training) is important.
• Understanding of MS standards (API Spec Q1, API Spec Q2, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, etc.) is essential.
• Technical training (ASME inspections, welding, service industry training, etc.) is a plus.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing (including reporting) effectively in English.
• Fluent in the local language of the audits where the auditor resides and works.
• Travel arrangements will be provided as necessary.
