This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform audits at designated facilities throughout the United States.

• Evaluate and enhance animal welfare conditions at facilities, suppliers, and partners.

• Ensure uniformity and precision in audits and audit documentation.

• Engage with clients in preparation for audits.

• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to FACTA and client protocols.

• Submit comprehensive time and expense reports by specified deadlines.

• Arrange travel related to audit activities.

• Finalize audit reports within established timelines.

• Liaise with management, producers, and other stakeholders.

• Operate independently without direct supervision.

• Utilize computer systems in the audit reporting process.

• Inquire and apply communication, listening, and problem-solving abilities.

• Raise risks and issues that exceed personal experience or skill set.

• Execute audit procedures and gather sufficient appropriate audit evidence per applicable auditing standards.

• Maintain a professional skepticism and consider alternative and disconfirming evidence.

• Deliver tasks and outputs to a high-quality standard.

• Keep senior team members updated on significant developments and engagement progress.

• Assist with yearly revisions to training programs and audit documents under supervision.

• Participate in industry conferences and engage with current and prospective clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in multi-species auditing is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of experience and/or training in animal production or welfare is required.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.

• Exposure to animal welfare or animal husbandry is necessary.

• Active PAACO certification in poultry or swine, or currently pursuing it.

• Proficiency in computer use is essential.

• Familiarity with livestock handling tools is required.

• Willingness to travel 60-80% for onsite audits across the United States.

• Intermediate knowledge in at least one species is expected.

• Basic understanding of industry terminology is necessary.

• Foundational knowledge of computer systems used in audit report processing is required.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct oversight.

• Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills are essential.

• A bachelor’s degree in a field related to animal production and welfare is preferred.

• Veterinary care for domestic animals does not qualify as the specified animal production or welfare experience.
