This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop new functionalities and maintain our Android application designed for rugged Zebra handheld devices.
• Collaborate within a multi-module codebase.
• Write clean, dependable Kotlin and Jetpack Compose code that interfaces with RFID, barcode, and sensor data.
• Implement offline data management, local caching, and secure data storage solutions.
• Work alongside our backend (.NET) and frontend (Vue.js) teams to ensure smooth app synchronization and user experience.
• Assist in testing and resolving edge-case device problems in real-world scenarios.
• Engage in code reviews, technical planning, and quality enhancement initiatives as part of a close-knit development team.
• 2–5 years of experience in developing Android applications using Kotlin, coroutines, and flows.
• Solid understanding of Jetpack Compose functionality (Recomposition, stability, performance optimization).
• Experience with Dagger Hilt for dependency injection and Android Room database solutions to support an offline-first architecture.
• Interest in hardware integration work (RFID, barcode scanning, etc.).
• Exceptional debugging skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Employ unit, UI, and instrumentation tests to ensure reliability and stability in rugged hardware settings, including edge-case deployment environments where stability is crucial.
• Eagerness to learn about cybersecurity, app fortification, and DoD deployment requirements.
• US citizenship is required.
