This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Formulate strategies to monitor and prevent fraud within our network, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring alignment with risk management objectives.
• Utilize advanced data analytics to pinpoint loss contributors, extract insights, and enhance fraud management strategies.
• Present reports on fraud patterns and loss contributors to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Act swiftly to respond to fraud rings and ensure that issues raised by other teams are resolved promptly.
• Collaborate with our operations team to minimize losses and ensure optimal review volumes.
• Support the assessment and development of new external or internal features/signals to enhance our fraud detection capabilities.
• Contribute to team planning and goal setting, along with providing coaching and mentorship to junior team members.
• Over 7 years of experience in Fraud Management or a related discipline is preferred, with a significant focus on analytics.
• Product knowledge - A strong desire to understand how the product functions and how to enhance its effectiveness.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while being responsive and available during peak fraud activity periods.
• Willingness to work later hours several days a week to increase overlap with US-based colleagues.
• Technical skills - Extensive experience in writing and analyzing SQL queries; proficiency in using Python or other scripting languages for data analysis.
• Communication - Capability to forge strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate with a diverse array of teams across the organization. Ability to convey analyses and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Multi-tasking - Excellent time management skills and the ability to swiftly shift focus in response to changes in fraud pressures and strategies.
• Industry knowledge - A solid understanding of payment processing fundamentals and familiarity with industry risk trends, including risk strategy development.
• A Bachelor’s degree, or local equivalent, in a quantitatively rigorous field such as engineering, statistics, math, finance, or economics is desirable.
