This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Collaborate with clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their data needs and business objectives.
• Design and execute ETL processes utilizing Talend to transform and consolidate data from various sources.
• Create and uphold data quality frameworks to guarantee the accuracy and consistency of data.
• Oversee ETL processes and address any data integration challenges to ensure smooth operations.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data integration, ETL tools, and Talend to deliver innovative solutions to clients.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members on best practices in ETL development and the use of Talend tools.
• Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team that includes stakeholders from diverse business units and technical backgrounds to align data solutions with strategic objectives.
• 3-5 years of practical experience with any ETL tool (Talend preferred).
• Talend expertise, with solid hands-on experience in Talend Open Studio for Data Integration, Talend Administration Centre, and Talend Data Quality.
• ETL Process Design: Capable of developing and designing ETL jobs that meet business needs and adhere to best practices, including knowledge of SCD and normalization jobs.
• Talend Configuration: Skilled in configuring Talend Studio, Job Server, and other Talend components.
• Data Mapping: Proficient in creating and refining ETL (Talend) mappings for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• SQL: Strong knowledge and experience in SQL, capable of developing complex SQL queries for data extraction and loading, particularly with databases such as Oracle, RedShift, and Snowflake.
• Custom Scripting: Knowledgeable in implementing custom Talend components using scripting languages like Python or Java, as well as shell scripting for task automation.
• Reusable Joblets: Familiar with designing and creating reusable joblets for various ETL tasks.
• Experience in ETL/ELT, data transformation, data mapping, and data profiling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to engage with cross-functional teams to comprehend business requirements and design data solutions.
• Promptly troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.
• Mentor junior team members to enhance their Talend development skills.
• Keep current with the latest trends and technologies in Talend and data integration to provide solutions that meet evolving requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
